As riders, we know that trying to finish a kitesurfing or wingfoiling session by touching the screen with wet/cold/sandy fingers can be difficult.
To make this easier, we have implemented a short cut: a quick, short press of both the digital crown and the side button at the same time will finish and save your session. This works whether you have the waterlock on or off.
You are able to configure the Fast Finish feature from the Hoolan App 'Settings' screen on your Apple Watch. Choose for it to be activated either by a single press of the crown and side button together (this is the default), a double press or not at all.
In order to use this short cut, you must have accepted the health permission 'write to workouts' when you signed up to Hoolan, otherwise you can save your session in the usual way by using the screen.
There is a technique to getting the quick, short press right, so we recommend you do a test recording at home beforehand.
If you hold the buttons down too long your watch will restart, but rest assured that if this does happen after a session, it will still be saved to your watch. The next time you open the Hoolan App on your watch, the session data will feed across to your phone.
If your watch takes a screenshot when you try to fast finish your session, this is a configuration issue on your watch and easily fixed. Go to the Settings App on your watch > General > Screenshots - toggle the Enable screenshots to off.
