Get the latest version of Hoolan

Most iPhones and Apple Watches automatically install new updates to Apps as soon as they are released.  This is not always the case however, so if you want to be sure that you are getting access to all the awesome new features and improvements that we are regularly adding to both our phone and watch app, please follow these steps:

  1. Check whether you have auto-updates for your Apps set to ON, on both your Apple Watch and iPhone:

    To check updates to your phone app:
    Go to Settings > App Store
    Scroll down to App Updates

    To check updates to your watch app:
    On your phone, go to Watch App
    Scroll down to App Store

    If 'automatically install new app updates' is set to ON then you should be on the latest version of Hoolan on both your phone and watch app.  You may, however, not want to have this set to ON, and there are occasions where the watch app fails to automatically update, so it is wise to double check the version you are currently running (Step 3).
     

  2. Visit our 'What's New' page to see our current version number and a summary of the all the developments in the latest App release. 
     

  3. Check the version of the Hoolan App that you are running:

    On your iPhone:
    Go to the Hoolan App
    Click on the blue cog icon in the top right of your screen to access the Settings screen
    Scroll down to the bottom to view the version number (ignore the number in brackets)

    On your Apple Watch:
    Open the Hoolan App
    Swipe right to the to get to the Settings screen
    Scroll to the bottom of the screen to view the version number (ignore the number in brackets)
     

  4. If you are not on the most recent version, you need to manually update the version:

    To update your iPhone app:
    Go to the App Store on your phone and search for Hoolan
    At the top, alongside our logo, you will see the option to 'Update'
    Press Update

    To update your Apple Watch app:
    On your phone, go to the Watch App
    Scroll to the very bottom to get to the Hoolan App
    Click Update
